How do I get a PDF under 1 MB?

Will the text stay selectable?
To reliably hit a small exact size, pages are rerendered as images, so text becomes part of the image. For email and upload limits this is usually fine. If you need selectable text, use the standard Compress PDF tool instead.
What if it cannot reach the target?
Very large or image-heavy PDFs may not reach tiny targets. We get as close as possible and show you the final size.
